The Scene
The Morgan Hotel is part of the MHL Hotel Collection, which is a collection of unique and individual hotels in key city and resort locations throughout Ireland. MHL is the second largest hotel group operator and I could definitely see the high standards for operations and hospitality within The Morgan Hotel.
This hotel opened in 2001, but was refurbished in July 2018 to a contemporary modern style. It had a minimalist feel with pops or color and glamour.
This hotel was a quite active with guests coming and going just as I did due to the great location.
I made use of the lounge to wait for friends from Dublin who came to meet me to go on adventures.
There was plenty of staff on hand so no one was waiting long for check-in or general help with their itinerary or other questions.

The Location
The Morgan Hotel is located right in the heart of the Temple Bar Area of Dublin.
Step out the front door and you are on the cobblestone streets of Temple Bar.
Great location for sightseeing as it is in the center of everything with quick access to all the nightlife and central Dublin attractions including Dublin Castle, Trinity College and the Liffey River.
The hotel (and Dublin’s city centre) is 20-30 minutes from the airport.
The Rooms
The hotel has 168 rooms including 9 Signature, 61 Superior, 44 Deluxe Guest Rooms and 4 unique Suites
The rooms are contemporary and uncluttered with a wonderful rain shower to wash away the jet lag.
- … and Wifi was excellent.
The Dining
I only experienced their buffet breakfast at 10 Fleet Street Restaurant & Bar during my stay which was well provisioned for several types of morning spreads including eggs/meats, yogurt, breads & jam, porridge and fruit.
I love a good breakfast to get fueled for a day of adventure.
- The belgian waffles were especially good!
In the Area
The Morgan Hotel is in the heart of Dublin in Temple Bar. The visitor attractions are all right at your feet.. Just follow the cobblestone.

Final Thoughts on this Dublin Hotel
The Morgan Hotel is updated with warm Irish hospitality and has great wifi.
I could hear some nightlife noise from my room, but this was to be expected given the proximity to the Temple Bar nightlife. This was a non-issue for me as I am a heavy sleeper and other friends on the other side of the hotel did not hear nightlife noise. Ask for a quieter side of the building if you are a light sleeper.
The biggest plus was the location. I stepped out for sightseeing and then could easily return to drop off anything, freshen up and then head out to dinner with an easy return from fun nights out in Temple Bar.
Thank you to Tourism Ireland & Steller for hosting me on this trip. All thoughts and opinions expressed here are entirely my own.
