What camera do you use?
One of the most popular questions I receive on Instagram and the blog.
I started with a point & shoot, then moved on to an entry level DSLR, and now have moved to the Canon 6D. I am a big believer in having the right tools for the job, however the tool is not going to make the photograph. You continually need to learn your camera, sharpen your eye and photography skills (there is always more to learn), and also learn from different environments and people.
Developing your own aesthetic might be the most important factor in creating compelling photography & storytelling. This requires lots of practice and time. And that’s the fun part for me that sparked by interest in photography and especially travel photography, capturing the people and places I encounter in hopes of relaying their story…. and continuing to learn.
What's in my camera bag?
My photography experience and gear has progressed over the years. I continually add & subtract items as I love to test out new things which enhance my photography & make my job easier, but really try to balance the gadgets with minimizing the weight so I can enjoy travel.
